St. Petersburg Saturday Morning Market
No look at the area’s farmers markets would be complete without spotlighting this long-running staple. The Saturday Morning Market happens at two different locations depending on the time of year: Williams Park is the place to be in the summer, and Al Lang Stadium is where to go during the cooler October-May season. When you go, expect artisanal produce, hot prepared foods from a variety of vendors, and even live music. Often seen as the next-day counterpart to the popular aforementioned Saturday Market, this Sunday stalwart takes place in the well-known Corey Avenue shoppers’ hub. And to be fair, Corey Avenue offers worthy finds at any time of the week. Still, the Sunday Market truly draws the treasure-hunters out on weekends, many in search of farm-fresh organic fruits and veggies, grab-and-go foods, plants, and even arts and crafts offered by talented local makers. 300 Corey Ave, St. Pete Beach, FL 33706
Looking for a good time to go along with your goods? This year-’round market has something of a festival vibe, offering live entertainment, ready-to-eat hot food, and friendly smiles as far as the eye can see. The produce on offer from 50-plus local vendors is always just-picked, and you’ll also discover plenty of specialty items like home décor, fashion accessories, and other precious treasures. The market itself is family- and pet-friendly, so the whole crew can enjoy a day out strolling the grounds. Summers, the market happens in the Dunedin History Museum parking lot, but moves to John R. Lawrence Pioneer Park from November to June.

Treasure Island Friday Morning Market
Variety is the name of the game at the aptly-named Treasure Island Market. Vendor kiosks often top 50 participants, and typically, no two offer the same fare. Looking for fresh-from-the-oven baked goods? You’ll find them here. Handcrafted clothing, jewelry and accessories? Prepare for a selection. And of course, fresh produce, flowers and fruit. The Market Marie in Coachman Park
This sprawling shoppers’ paradise affords visitors more than 125 vendors to browse, each with something unique and special to offer. In addition to the freshest possible produce, you’ll discover handmade art, organic pet treats, clothing and candles, as well as grab-and-go goodies you can snack on while you shop. The setting is just as inviting, with live entertainment, henna artists, a waterfront location and plenty of community spirit. Everyone from casual cooks to zealous gourmands would be well-advised to make this Sunday stop a must when planning any get-together. Fresh-squeezed juice, artisanal local cheeses, and even just-made desserts are all available here, as are home décor items and intriguing objets d’art. This market is a bit different from the others. Although you’ll still find plenty of items to take home, the focus here is on fast, fresh and flavorful prepared foods. Think of it as a movable feast of sorts; one where you’ll be able to select ready-to-eat authentically prepared flavors from Japan, China, Laos, Thailand, the Philippines, and many more. You have countless options for weekend markets in the area. But if you’re looking to pick up some fresh goodies mid-week, your best bet is this seaside exchange. The Gulfport Tuesday Market is located in a stunning, tree-lined community that’s known for quirky creativity, and the eclectic goods on offer here certainly reflect that reputation. This stop on your list is a must, even if the focus differs from traditional choices. At the Indie Market, the focus is on products over produce. Artisans of all kinds convene here to offer items like jewelry, handmade crafts, prepared foods, and other “hard” goods. You’ll still find plenty of traditional items like fruits, vegetables and flowers to go along with your new home décor and accessories, however.
