Everything You Need to Know for Your Stay
Resort Amenity Fee
The Resort Amenity Fee is $55 nightly plus tax and includes, Wi-Fi Internet access, daily beach cabana, unlimited use of the Zing Ray Zip beach zipline, High Tide Slide and Surf WipeOut for each registered guest, and more.
Parking
Self-parking is available at a charge of $25 per night. There is no additional parking available on holidays. Visitor Parking, Parking for buses, RVs, and trailers is based on availability and at an additional cost. Please contact Resort Security at 727.239.9645 in advance to make arrangements for these vehicles.
Taxes
Taxes on accommodations and the Resort Amenity Fee are 13%. Taxes on all other goods are 7%.
Smoking
TradeWinds is committed to providing our guests with a smoke-free environment. Smoking is permitted in designated areas only. This includes cigarettes, cigars and vaping e-cigarettes. All guest rooms, including balconies and patios, are non-smoking. There will be a $500 room recovery fee for smoking in guest rooms.
Minimum Age
The minimum age to register at the resort is 21 years of age and one registered adult must be present - throughout the entire stay.
Children 17 and Under Stay Free
Children 17 and under stay free when they share the same room as their parents. The maximum number of guests per room includes children.
Rollaway Beds and Cribs
Rollaway beds can be provided at a charge of $25.00 per night. Cribs are provided free of charge.
Check-In and Checkout
Check-in time begins at 4:00 p.m. Checkout time is 11:00 a.m.
Mobile Express Check-In
With our new Mobile Express Check-In, you can skip the line and register before you arrive. After registering online, pick up your Welcome Packet and keys from the Express Desk located in the lobby at Island Grand and RumFish Beach. Registering online does not guarantee early arrivals. Check-in time begins at 4:00 p.m.
Early-Departure Fee
Departing prior to your scheduled check-out day incurs a minimum fee of one night plus tax, up to the cost of the full length of stay. Packages and package elements are not refundable.
Late Checkout Fee
Requests for a late check-out time are honored based on room availability at a fee of $20 an hour. Please check with the Front Desk for availability.
Reservation Deposit
Reservations are guaranteed with a credit card deposit of 1 night's room and tax at the time the reservation is made.
Cancellation
To receive a refund of your deposit, your cancellation or any changes to your reservation must be received at least 5 days prior to 4:00 p.m. of your arrival date.
We’re Cashless!
Our property is proud to announce a new cashless business model effective July 6, 2022. Moving to a cashless format provides more streamlined efficiencies and also addresses safety and hygiene concerns for both guests and employees. We accept all major US credit and debit cards. Room charging is available throughout both resorts. "Cash to Card" machines have been added at both Island Grand and RumFish Beach.
Payment Options
TradeWinds Resort accepts payment in US Dollars from all major credit cards: Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover plus Travelers checks. Personal checks are not accepted. Proper ID is required for all transactions.
Pets
All hotel rooms and villas at Island Grand and RumFish Beach are pet friendly. Be sure to note that you are bringing a pet during time of booking. Please check the PET POLICY for details.
- A maximum of 2 pets per room (dogs only), up to 80 pounds each.
- Pet Fee: nightly fee of $75 will be posted to each room occupied by a pet(s).
Resort Identification Wristbands
Island Grand and RumFish Beach are for the exclusive use of our guests. All guests are required to wear a wristband while staying at either resort. This wristband validates your status and allows you to participate in resort activities and functions.
Alcohol on the Beach
St. Pete Beach regulations for alcoholic beverages on the beach:
- Must be a resort guest wearing a resort wristband.
- Must have a registered cabana, and remain within cabana area.
- Drinks are to be served by resort staff only (no personal coolers).
- Must have photo ID confirming 21 years of age or older.
Drones on Property
Flying personal drones on property is not allowed unless they are a TradeWinds Resort-contracted service provider.
