Our Pet Policy

Four-Legged Friends Welcome

It’s not a true family vacation unless everyone in the family can come along – even the furry ones. That’s why at TradeWinds Resort, we accept dogs and cater to them! Just be sure to check the pet policy details below, before your arrival. Please note on the reservation that you are bringing a pet. There is a $75 pet fee per night.

PET-FRIENDLY OFFERS AT ISLAND GRAND:

  • All hotel rooms and villas are pet friendly. 
  • Pet Play Zone with doggie drinking fountain, fire hydrants, photo op display, grass and shade. This secure area is our leash-free zone within our pet-friendly area
  • Designated dog walking zone along our meandering waterway
  • Beachside hammock for ultimate relaxation
  • Doggie Accessory Center equipped with bowls, leashes, toys and towels
  • Rinse and drying station for quick washes
 

PET-FRIENDLY OFFERS AT RUMFISH BEACH:

  • All hotel rooms and villas are pet friendly.
  • Designated dog walking zone in the North Terrace Courtyard
 

PET POLICY:

  • Guests must declare a pet on the reservation at the time of booking.
  • A nightly fee of $75 will be posted to each room occupied by a pet(s).
  • Two pets allowed per room - up to 80 lbs. each, dogs only.
  • Pet owner is responsible for maintaining up to date pet shots / health records.
  • Per city ordinance, pets and emotional support animals are not allowed on the beach, in the restaurants, in the pools or in the pool areas.
  • Pets are to remain on a leash while navigating around the resort. The only areas where pets are permitted without a leash are inside your designated guest room or in the Pet Play Zone.
  • If your pet disposes of any urine or excrement in a guest room, there will be an additional cleaning fee of $500 added to your bill.
  • During Housekeeping service, one of the following needs to take place: owner is present in room with pet(s), the pet is removed from the room, or the pet is crated safely.
  • In fairness to all of our guests, you are fully responsible for your pet’s actions. Should noise from your pet become an issue, our security team will contact you to address the situation. If the issue is not addressed, our Security Department reserves the right to resolve the situation. This may include relocation of your pet to our nearest kennel or eviction at the owner’s expense.

While city ordinance does not allow animals on St. Pete Beach, the world-class beach at Ft. DeSoto Park just 10 minutes away has both a dog-friendly beach and a Paw Playground.
