TradeWinds’ two resorts will continue “stay at one - play at two” concept
ST. PETE BEACH, Fla. (Oct. 17, 2019) – 1754 Properties, a South Florida-based institutional owner and manager of hotels, has acquired TradeWinds Island Resorts. The sale, announced Oct. 17, includes the 25.5-acre TradeWinds Island Grand, the largest beachfront resort in St. Pete Beach, and the 5.9-acre RumFish Beach Resort by TradeWinds, home of the popular RumFish Grill restaurant.
“1754 and its investment partner are uniquely well suited to continue the great legacy of TradeWinds. The resort is in excellent hands, and its guests, the resort’s team members and the city of St. Pete Beach should be excited about their involvement,” said Tim Bogott, CEO of Fortune Hotels, the seller.

Details on the financial transaction were not released. The resort still will be operated as an independent resort, focusing on the needs of its consistent and loyal customer base.
